One minute he was granted bail today, and in another a St Philip man was back in lawful custody.
Jason Gary Chandler, of Lot 3, Crane Lodge, had been on remand since May 3, 2018 after pleading not guilty to stealing a $12,500 motorcar belonging to Muaz Hans on March 31, 2018.
This morning, Chandler appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court and was granted $3,000 bail with one surety.
However, he was immediately informed that he was not free to go, as a marshal from another jurisdiction was present to execute an arrest warrant for failure to pay child support.
