A St Michael man caught with $54 000 worth of marijuana in and around his home will spend the next 12 months in prison.
The drugs which weighed 27 pounds were found in various stages of growth in pots and planted outside at Shane Ricardo Greenidge’s, Taylors Road, Delamere Land, Martindales Road, St Michael residence on December 27 when lawmen executed a search warrant there.
He pleaded guilty to possession, possession with intent to supply, possession with intent to traffick and cultivation of the drug.
Magistrate Douglas Frederick imposed the sentence on the possession charge and convicted, reprimanded and discharged Greendige on the other offences after hearing from the prosecutor and the accused.
