A Dominican fisherman charged with eight drug offences wasted little time in heading to the High Court.
Rawlins Rolle, of Layou Village, Dominica, appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today where he informed the court that he would like his cases heard in the High Court.
Rolle is accused of possession, possession with intent to supply, possession with intent to traffic and importation of cannabis and cocaine.
It is further alleged that he entered Barbados by sea other than at a port of entry and disembarked without the consent of an immigration officer.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charges, which allegedly occurred on October 1.
Rolle has been remanded to HMP Dodds.
