A 51-year-old taxi driver was granted $8,000 bail when he appeared in court yesterday charged with committing a crime under the Sexual Offences Act.
It is alleged that Terrence Ricardo Alleyne, of No.7 Fairview Place, Bayville, St Michael, indecently assaulted an underage female on August 31.
The accused, who has Kevin Miller as his legal counsel, was not required to plead to the indictable charge which can only be tried in the High Court.
There was no objection to bail and he was released with a warning from Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant to stay away from the complainant and her family until the matter is adjudicated.
