A farmer, who is alleged to have cultivated marijuana, was granted $10,000 bail when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court today.
Jason Boucher, of 1st Avenue, Hinds Hill, St Michael, is further charged with possession, possession with intent to supply and traffic the cannabis on July 31.
According to Sergeant Vernon Waithe, the illegal substance weighed ten pounds and has a $20,000 estimated street value.
However, there were no objections to bail from the prosecutor after Boucher pleaded not guilty to the offences.
His case continues before Magistrate Douglas Frederick on October 8.
In the meantime, Boucher has been ordered to report to the District ‘A’ Police Station every Wednesday before 10 a.m. with valid identification.
