The police constable who was involved in the May 26 accident on the ABC Highway that claimed the life of 52-year-old Owen Stuart has been banned from riding motorcycles and operating all other forms of motor vehicles for an indefinite period.
Renaldo Jerome Goodman, of Glebe Land, St George, appeared before Magistrate Graveney Bannister today where he pleaded guilty to using the motorcycle with registration number G1305 after 8 p.m. despite being prohibited from doing so on his learner’s permit.

He also admitted to using fraudulent number plates, riding without insurance and road tax and operating the motorcycle with the letter ‘L’ not properly displayed on the front or the rear.
However, Goodman was not required to plead to the charge of causing Stuart’s death while riding a motorcycle in a manner dangerous to the public.
He was fined $475 for having no taxes, which must be paid by July 6, and $750, which is due tomorrow, June 26, or he will have to spend 75 days in jail.
For breaching the terms of his permit, Goodman was banned from driving until the causing death by dangerous driving charge is heard in the High Court and he is convicted, reprimanded and discharged of the other offences.
The accused, who is represented by attorney-at-law Anthony Francis Worrell, returns before the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on September 24.
He remains in $5,000 bail.
