An 18-year-old was today granted $1,500 bail when he appeared before a Bridgetown Magistrate on a drug charge.
Kevon Odane Forde, of Upper Collymore Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael, pleaded guilty to having the small quantity of marijuana in his possession on May 26.
He allegedly told police when asked to account for the illegal substance “this is just a little weed I duh plan to smoke”.
Before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, Forde, who already has matters pending in court, explained that he had a lot on his mind and “I just thought a smoke would [help]”.
A pre sentencing report has been ordered into his life in preparation for sentencing.
Forde returns to court on August 3.
