HMP Dodds will be home sweet home for Corey Randell Tull for the next 18 months.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant handed down the sentence today in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court after Tull pleaded guilty to committing burglary, as well as unlawfully damaging a motorcar belonging to Simpson Motors Limited on March 22, 2018.

The court heard from prosecutor Sergeant Cameron Gibbons that the vehicle was parked outside Simpson Motors for sale.

About 2 a.m., a security officer observed that the door was open and on investigation, saw Tull sitting in the driver’s seat.

Tull was observed pulling at wires under the dashboard. The glass window on the left door was also damaged.

When asked how he had gained entrance to the vehicle, he said he had used a rock.

The matter was reported to police and Tull, who had previously served two prison terms for burglary, was arrested.

Cuffy-Sargeant sentenced him to 18 months in prison on the burglary charge and 18 months for the criminal damage. The sentences will run concurrently.
