Tedroy Lashley was granted personal bail on Friday and told to bring a surety on Monday. But instead, he appeared before the same court on two new charges.
The 39-year-old of McClean’s Gap, Brittons Hill, St Michael is accused of assaulting Phylicsa Millington occasioning her actual bodily harm on July 13, 2024. He denied that allegation but admitted to having an apparatus in his possession fit for the misuse of cocaine on the same date.
He had appeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on July 12 in a case involving the same complainant. On that occasion, he admitted to assaulting Millington who lives at the same residence. Magistrate Alison Burke had granted him personal bail of $1 000 and warned him that a warrant would be issued for his arrest if he did not bring a surety to Monday’s appearance.
When his case was called today, he was remanded to HMP Dodds until August 12.
Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes deferred sentencing until his next appearance.
