A 39-year-old unemployed man will spend the next eight months at HMP Dodds.
Kevin Leondre Clarke, of Block 1B Deacons Court, Deacons, St Michael, was sentenced to two months in prison for breaching a bond when he pleaded guilty to stealing $47 worth in beers belonging to GDA Investments Inc. on October 6.
According to the prosecutor, Clarke
was observed entering the establishment, a service station located on Bank Hall, St Michael.
He took up the items and then ran out of the establishment without paying. He went in the direction of Eagle Hall. The security guard informed the police who were in the area at the time. A search was made and Clarke was spotted and apprehended. The items were found in a haversack he was carrying.
He was sentenced to six months in prison, which will run concurrently with the two-month sentence after explaining to Magistrate Douglas Frederick his reason for committing the crime.
