A 37-year-old man, charged with committing offences under the Firearms Act, got an automatic 28-day stay at HMP Dodds.
It is alleged that Terrell Tarior Mayers, of Hudson Alley, Reed Street, St Michael, had a firearm and seven rounds of ammunition in his possession on September 4 without valid licences.
Mayers was not required to plead to the indictable charges when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today.
However, he pleaded not guilty to possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of a quantity of cannabis.
The accused makes his second appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court on October 4.
