Dave Anthony Searles has been found not guilty of willfully exposing his five-month-old son Ethan in a manner likely to cause injury to his health.
Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant handed down the sentence on the Cemetery Lane, Road View, St Peter resident in the No.2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.
She explained that the verdict was based on the fact that the prosecution was unable to prove that Searles “willfully” committed the act.
Ethan’s lifeless body was discovered in the back seat of Searles’ car, which was parked outside his workplace in Brittons Hill, St Michael on December 5, 2012.
Searles, who had denied the charge, was represented by attorney-at-law Branford Taitt Jr.
