A Bridgetown magistrate today ordered a presentencing report into the life of a 43-year-old St Michael man who pleaded guilty to possession of over $15,000 worth of cannabis.

Fabian Alonzo Alexander Miller of My Lords Hill appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick to answer charges of possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of the illicit drug, which was found when police executed a search warrant at his residence.

The court heard that when lawmen arrived at his home yesterday just after 6a.m., they found a loose quantity of the drug on the floor of the patio, where Miller was lounging. Not far away in two garbage bags was another quantity of the drug.

On entering the house another loose quantity of cannabis was found in a plastic container on a living room chair while a quantity of seeds was discovered in a small bottle.

“This is weed but it is garbage I had to throw way,” Miller reportedly told police when asked to account for the drugs.

“Wunna ain’t had no right coming back here,” he added.

Despite a bail application by his attorney Rasheed Belgrave, the magistrate remanded Miller to prison until October 23 to find out more about his life as he had already been charged with a similar offence last November.

He is expected to know fate on his next appearance.
